Over their existence, the Zogords have had different types of governments and a lot of wars. They have always acted as one country (the country has been always called the same as the planet, Lacerta), and rarely has there been any other countries. These other countries survive for a short time and have never been successful. At the beginning, they had multiple monarchies due to them finding multiple books about monarchies and systems of governments. They choose monarchies not because it was appealing to them, but because a pair Zogords wanted to be powerful and managed to convince the others (in that time, about 900 ATGE they were about 450,000 Zogords) that monarchy was the best system of government and that they should be the king and queen. This two figures became to be known as the first leaders and heads of state of Lacerta. The where called King Zyrage and Queen Yvitil. Their reign lasted upon until their death and their sons and daughters became the new kings and queens. This monarchy and royal family lasted until 3567 ATGE when there was a civil war and the king and queen where overthrown. This monarchy worked pretty well at first during the staring decades, but as time passed each and each successor became worse than the other until the people got fed up of the royal family and overthrew them. For some time, there was a state of anarchy until 3593 ATGE when a group of Zogords came and convinced the others that democracy was the correct choice. This democracy followed a similar style to that of the United States with some minor changes. The Zogords usually fight amongst each other and civil wars have been common during their reign over Lacerta. Finally, in 7987 Bragaran Raishucluck became president of Lacerta. He won the presidency by making a lot of false promises and by buying voters. The fact that he was a successful war general and the creator of Suhuliaism also helped him gain votes. After he became president, he immediately changed the government, gave a lot of power to them military, and became dictator of Lacerta. Currently, from 7995-7999 there have been multiple protests and a lot of people believe that a civil war is bound to happen any time soon.
