Origins

Before the planet had any life in it, it was a rich oil and uranium deposit used by different planets as a fossil fuel source. Several oil rigs and nuclear power plants were built over the years. One day one of the nuclear power plants exploded creating a chain reaction which made the other ones and the oil rigs explode. This even has been since called “The Great Explosion”. After that, the planet became useless and was used as wasteland where planets threw their wastes. One of the most common wastes thrown in it was nuclear waste and animal corpses. Over the years this two combined, creating several mutant species. The mutant lizards proved to be the dominant ones and ate all the other mutant species. These lizards evolved to become a super-intelligent species who created their own civilization. They call themselves Zogord (Zogords plural). They came 50 years after “The Great Explosion”. They learned a lot of their culture and language through the abundant amount of wastes in the planet (there were a lot of books and scrolls among those wastes). The Zogords are a very isolated group of aliens who have never left their planet (even though they know about space and other planets) due to the fact that they haven’t found the technology for them to survive in space. No other alien species has ever gone to Lacerta due to the dangerous atmospheric conditions and the lethal temper of the Zogords. As different Zogord civilizations came by, they became more and more technologically advanced due to the wastes found in the planet (there was a lot of metal in those wastes) and the vast amounts of oil, coal, and uranium found inside the planet. The Zogords have built multiple metropolises and cities which are very similar to what the current humans have.  They have altered versions of what humans currently know as cars, trains, planes, phones, computers, and the internet.
